Solutions for SAE J1708/J1587
The SAE J1708 network protocol describes the communication on a data bus in commercial vehicles for transmission of diagnostic data (e.g. engine speed, temperature) and control information.
The application is focused on the power-train and chassis area of commercial vehicles. The application level contains data transmission during driving operation between components such as control units (ECU) or on-board-communication and on-board-diagnostics, as well as off-board-communication between vehicle and external diagnostics device (e.g. PC).
The SAE J1587 standard regulates data exchange between control units based on SAE J1708.
