samDia FlexRay-Module
FlexRay is a fast, deterministic and fault tolerant bus system used in automobiles. The purpose of FlexRay is to fulfil the enormous requirements of futuristic in-vehicle networks. The increasing deployment of driver assistance systems requires drive train and body control systems to have a high data throughput and fulfil hard real time conditions. Moreover FlexRay has been developed as a deterministic (time triggered) and fault tolerant bus system in order to ensure reliability for active safety systems (ex. X-by-wire).
FlexRay in samDia
The FlexRay analyser and FlexRay sequencer in samDia are the central elements for real-time communication with control units. In addition to the analysis of the FlexRay communication the integrated blocksequencer offers more flexibility for the development of control unit software and diagnostic testers. Complex sequences can be programmed in the blocksequencer using scripts and can be directly run at real-time in the interface. The compilation time after the changing of the sequences is avoided and helps saving time. The communication parameters required by every FlexRay node can be imported from FIBEX data and thereby enables complete configuration and quick development of FlexRay communication.
HSX multi-bus interface for FlexRay
The FlexRay enabled tool chain is completed with the new HSX multi-bus interface. The very high data throughput, the precise timing synchronisation and the enormous processing capabilities make the HSX interface the ideal tool for communication over FlexRay. Up to four integrated FlexRay nodes enable the development of complex communication scenarios with a single hardware. Furthermore, the HSX offers many other bus systems and supports for example with the realization of a CAN-FlexRay gateway the stepwise change-over of existing CAN components to FlexRay.
