The feature to import LIN description files (LDF-files) in samDia and samDiaX simplifies the diagnosis and simulation of complete LIN networks through the use of a single data basis.

The LIN description files are also used as standard data exchange format between suppliers and manufacturers and hence guarantees a smooth workflow.

The individual parameters of the LIN networks are parameterized in the LDF. Furthermore the LDF describes the complete communication flow i.e. all signals, data packets and related timing parameters on the LIN bus. Both the master and slave are completely defined. The access to the symbolic representation and the physical values simplifies the analysis and diagnosis of LIN networks.
